MemberBaragonSep-21-2017 8:40 AMI found a news-article (for the article click on this link http://comicbook.com/movies/2017/08/22/godzilla-vs-kong-features-mothra-rodan-king-ghidorah/) about a month ago that basically confirmed that there will be other kaiju involved with Godzilla vs Kong, besides the titular monsters.
I just can't help but wonder what those Kaiju are. How likely would they be toho kaiju, or original creations? And how likely will Godzilla vs Kong explore the inhabitants of Skull Island.

AdminGodzillaSep-21-2017 4:03 PMI've seen that and didn't report on it because I believe many people are taking it out of context. I think it's more likely Wingard is talking about human characters from Godzilla 2 in Godzilla vs. Kong, especially since some actors are rumored to be contractually obligated to multiple movies.
It's also likely Kong is "constantly under attack" from other humans and Godzilla. It's not specified what is attacking him.
And finally there's the context of the, "lots of monsters going crazy on each other," line. Some people are reading it as, "LOTS OF MONSTERS going crazy on each other," as if there will be a bunch of monsters fighting one another. But I think what Wingard meant was, "lots of MONSTERS GOING CRAZY ON EACH OTHER," meaning there's lots of monster action--Perhaps just Godzilla and Kong going crazy on each other throughout in the film.
I could be wrong, but this isn't anything to blow out of proportion yet. It's certainly not confirmation that there will be other monsters in the movie.

MemberBaragonSep-21-2017 4:07 PMOh ok, didn't think of that. That is really the curse of vague announcements from the cast and crew, they are so easy to take out of context.

AdminGodzillaSep-21-2017 4:15 PMWell the other thing is it wasn't even an announcement of any official capacity. It was actually a casual interview that was mostly about Death Note.
Nothing is confirmed about his words regarding Godzilla vs. Kong.
