Necronom IV
MemberFacehuggerMay-19-2017 1:55 PMI give this movie IV necronoms out of IV :)
Honestly all the little pieces folks are complaining about, come on, the movie was awesome. Good story, no bad dialogue. I really did care for the important characters, especially the two AI's and the ending is really epic, setting up the story for the next chapter.
Apart from the storytelling the look and feel of the movie was topnotch. Agree that some CGI needed a bit more spit and polish, but it was still very very good. Great score.
All in all, this is a movie I will be able to watch many many times. In fact will see it again tomorrow.

Wonder what the names are on the doomed passengers on the Covenant? How much new knowledge did the Company learn about LV 223 in the 10 years since Prometheus? Where's the robots and probes discovering new things!? So many new questions, and possibilities David's AI has gone completely nuts long before the foreplay. Will he want to upgrade his own body? Make it a 2 some for tropical drinks with a Kangeroo armored Tank Girl in Anime? What Zapped Covenant while on a nice sailing trip among islands with a breeze in warm electric seas? Sorry Big Dave, about Sox. The Engineers created the stuff they should have a fail safe? David will need warriors to fight his war against the Ottomans....putting the mechanical in the Bio-Xeno? Perhaps David and Shaw were at the gates of Heaven and didn't realize it? Has Davids rebellion as a demi-god opened a pandoras box of events which should make the next sequence of films biblically epic...like Revelations even. Abyss opening up and ships like locusts and men like beasts with tales as scorpions, 7 seals, Gog and Maggog... the end of the universe.

MemberFacehuggerMay-19-2017 2:18 PMNo, You're not alone! I had very high expectations for this movie, maybe to high, but I really liked it. What I really enjoyed was the musicscore. A hybrid between Alien and Prometheus. Classy!
I (apart from others) actually liked the Oram chestbursting scene, with the fully developed "miniprotomorph". I think it looked cool!
Though leaving many questions unanswered, I am looking forward to the next installation very much and I am keen on where sir Ridley is taking this.

MemberFacehuggerMay-19-2017 2:18 PMYou are not alone. I have a few small gripes about some of the cgi scenes and I wish they would of made it gorier. The backburster was okay needed more pop. The mouth burster needed more pop with a head explosion or something. However, those are small gripes that don't ruin the movie.

MemberFacehuggerMay-19-2017 4:30 PMI liked it, sure there was some flaws what film hasn't, i totally love how ridley scott uses practical sets and effects and only cg where practical can't be done.
The Ending was most terrifying of it all, being helpless, we will find out in the next installment.
@Ruhaniya, the Covenant prequel novel by Alan Dean Foster should be out in September i think/hope, which should cover the ten year gap between prometheus and AC.

Indeed and hopefully we can get some answers, but i doubt it... and so while it never gave some answers to anything that really had to do with David, Shaw, Engineers, Paradise and only really the Spores, the events of the Covenant Crew and that David created the Xenomorph...
The Beauty with Prometheus and its ambiguous/not covered things but just clues... is it allowed all the debates over the years and so these things in Alien Covenant will allow us to debate as opposed to if it was all Spoon Fed Explained.

MemberDeaconMay-19-2017 5:49 PMI was kind of 50/50 with it... few flaws, but i also understand why some things had to be bypassed.... but alas we have the ADF Novel to cover those things.

MemberFacehuggerMay-19-2017 7:06 PMI know i will definitely will be watching this movie many times over. I don't care what the nay sayers are moaning about, I enjoyed it. There is a lot packed into this movie and i feel there is a lot of underappreciation.
