MemberPraetorianJan-18-2017 1:57 PMThis is partially inspired by the thread about Alien vs The Thing, but more so a debate i had with my brother. He believed Terminators would win(he's a devout Terminator fan)and i was inclined to agree with him. After all they're made of titanium, see infrared, and all sorts of technology, plus they have the T-1000.But it got me thinking, aside from the xenomorph becoming kamikaze's,could there be other ways to defeat them. What do you think?

MemberTrilobiteJan-18-2017 2:06 PMI think it would depend on whether the acid blood could corrode titanium. That seems like the first and most important factor.

ninXeno426
MemberPraetorianJan-18-2017 2:24 PMThat's a good thought. Hadn't considered that.

MemberPraetorianJan-18-2017 3:43 PMI've found some acids can corrode titanium,but i don't know about molecular.

MemberDeaconJan-18-2017 3:44 PMThis would be a very hard one to judge....
Xenomorphs would pose a threat only in Melle Attack they cant use Weapons or Explosives and so the Advantage may sit with the Terminators...
The Terminators would kill Xenos like Humans would if Humans was far less prone to injury and death and had more superior strength.
The Xenos would have to tackle the Terminators more like a Human would that has no Weapons... but would have a speed and stealth advantage over a Human.
One things for sure.....
Terminator vs the Thing would surely be a sure fire victory for the Terminators.

MemberPraetorianJan-18-2017 4:39 PMProbably true on Terminator vs the Thing.I have this theory that while an Alien vs Terminator frontal assault would definitely mean the end of the xenomorph, but instead maybe with there hive constructing abilities perhaps they can infest and ruin there computers somehow.

MemberTrilobiteJan-18-2017 4:56 PMWith the T-800 Terminators being constructed from Hyperalloy not Titanium, and with Hyperalloy being a fictional metal there is no real way of knowing how it would react to an Alien's acidic blood, but...
Hyperalloy hasn't really proved itself to be very durable considering Kyle Reese blew one in half using a homemade pipe bomb, and the T-1000 was able to incapacitate one using some metal gears and a steel rod. Also if you want to reference the last movie (very few do), take note of the fact that Sarah Connor sprayed the Guardian Terminators arm with a solution to stop it from melting after it held the T-1000 under the sprinklers filled with acid.
In terms of intelligence I would actually argue that the Xenomorph has shown more combat strategy than any of the Terminators, so even though I would call myself a Terminator fan more than an Alien one, my money is on the Alien!

MemberFacehuggerJan-18-2017 5:17 PMIt's also important to note that there is not a single real substance that does what Alien blood is purported to do. It's like a damn liquid lightsaber.
Safe? Of course he isn't safe, but he's good!

MemberPraetorianJan-18-2017 5:24 PMSingleton WOW.Theres enough Terminator knowledge there to put my brother to shame(he calls you a traitor by the way lol). The acid scene from Genisys did occur to me though.

MemberPraetorianJan-19-2017 6:10 PMUpdate:I acknowledged that terminators see infrared, but have since realized to quote Diedrich"Maybe they don't show up any infrared at all"which turned out to be true.My mistake. That would clearly give the xenomorph an advantage.

MemberPraetorianJan-19-2017 6:40 PMAnother mistake.Terminators just see red.oops.

MemberOvomorphJan-25-2017 9:04 PMI'd watch an alien vs terminator, if the terminator franchise hadn't become such a joke. Whats next? They gonna bring back the t1000 in the next movie and make him a good guy?
OOOO maybe then after he wins that movie, he can go on to become the nemesis to the alien. liquid metal sweethearts. could it neutralize the acid blood of the alien?
considering the terminator movies throw out all the rules.....I'm gonna go with an big old YES. The liquid metal is the ultimate enemy of the acid blood. Bye alien
