Please Help me find an off earth movie

I'm trying to find a movie I saw years ago. The only part, as I remember it is, 2 or 3 astronauts on another planet in a desperate state, having found a large cylindrical spacecraft, managed entered it, they were then eventually, communicated with, by the onboard computer system and shown what the craft can do.

Any ideas.

Do you know what year it was set? Is it an older film or more recent? Any idea who starred in it? I want to say Event Horizon but there were more than 3 crew in that film. (Great movie btw)

Hi, I know it isn't Event Horizon and I think the movie is at least 10 maybe up to 25 years old, also when onboard the ship, the people were not harmed.
