Should Godzilla 2 feature cameos of other Toho Monsters?

AdminSpaceGodzillaApr-10-2016 10:31 AMGodzilla 2 will introduce us to the Legendary Rodan, Mothra and Ghidorah. But should there be subtle cameos of other Monsters? Even if not as part of the actual film but throughout the marketing campaign? The flowing artwork by Blackmatter234 showcases Ebriah, the giant Lobster Kaiju from the original Toho series:
Similar to Pacific Rim's prologue marketing, Legendary's Godzilla series could benefit as well from this kind of promotion. What do you think?

MemberMothra LarvaeApr-10-2016 7:06 PMUm... HELL NO! Cameos are just silly fan service bs. I hate that. It's pandering. I'd rather put the time, effort, and resources into making what's going to be there BETTER. And how can you "cameo" and 400ft+ creature unless it's a corpse? Which reminds me of the pre-teasers for G14. What was that centipede thing all about? No reference to it at all. That was a waste. Hell, for all we know, one or more of the 3 added monsters are already just cameos.

Good guess. Seen Tokyo SOS lately?

The original "trailer" was merely a proof-of-concept teaser intended to sell WB suites. No story or script had been completed at the time of making that piece, it was merely intended to give off a sense of mood.
