SURVIVE Anouncement.

Hey guys, so I’ve decided to start writing a story. There will be X chapters, and I will post them weekly on the forums. This story will follow a team of American Special Forces and their fight for survival against a hyper-lethal enemy. It is based off of ideas I got from the rumors that the D-Rex is actually meant as a weapon.

Now, let’s introduce the characters:

• SGM James C. Krieger- The leader of our squad as well as my protagonist. He is a Sergeant Major in the US Army Rangers. On his second tour, he now leads a squad of men. Little does he know, he’ll be leading many of them to their deaths at the hands of a strange, unknown enemy.

Weapon of choice: Scar-H battle rifle.

• MSG Allen S. Reeder- The squads support gunner and Krieger’s best friend. He’s the kind of guy you can rely on in a pinch, and he’ll always have your back.

Weapon of choice: Mk46 LMG

• SFC Andy S. “Thumper” Thompson- He is a genius. If you need something blown-up, broken, or completely erased from existence, this is your guy. He serves as the squad’s grenadier, but “collected” enough C4 to level a small village. Krieger keeps him out of trouble, because the man sure knows how to make a scene.

Weapon of choice: Anything that goes boom.

• SFC Hugo D. Castillo- He’s the groups communications expert. He sometimes speaks so fast that his squad can struggle to understand him. He values himself as a chef, and for good reason too. I mean, who else can make lizard stew appealing?

Weapon of choice: Spork M4A1

• CPL Clinton J. “T-rex” Mitchell- This guy is huge. At 6’4’’ and 180 pounds of pure muscle, this guy deserves his callsign, T-rex. He always carries an AT4 anti-tank weapon just in case.

Weapon of choice: Scar-H battle rifle

• CPL Anthony R. “Mule” Ham- Like his nickname implies, this guy is the packmule of the group. He carries nearly 2000 extra bullets for him and his teammates. Not that he minds though, he works out nearly everyday with Clinton, keeping himself in the top physical shape that his role demands. That’s not the only reason they call him mule though. He’s also the most stubborn guy you’ll ever meet.

Weapon of choice: M4A1

• PFC Carmine C. Roberts- The best shot in the squad. He spends his spare time at base dealing with the rat infestation. His way. With an M14. Because he can. Doesn’t talk much, but you’d better listen when he does.

Weapon of choice: M14

• PVT Carl R. “Lil Bro” Padilla- Although he’s new, he shows promise. As the team’s medic, he is close to each of his squadmates. Especially Thumper who sees him as the little brother he never had. In fact, most of the squad sees him the same way, as a little brother.

Weapon of choice: M4A1

• Sergeant Kareem Kamal Guirguis- He’s a local who serves alongside the team as their translator. They like him, but his courage and discipline are… lacking.

Weapon of choice: AKM

Now of course, this series will feature dinosaurs, however they will be mutants of my own design. Amongst them, there are two I will reveal;

• Spinaraptor velocitus AKA "Chasers": A combination of a Velociraptor, Porcupine, and Owl. These are very fast and dangerous creatures, who chase their prey and impale it with quills, or cut it open with their toe claws. They have good vision, and can see in almost complete darkness.
• Omorfovenator sputator AKA “Prowlers”: A combination of Dilophosaurus, Bloodhound, Cuddlefish, and King Cobra. They are long distance hunters, who stalk their prey, spitting poison at them to cause them to panic. Their sense of smell allows them to track prey over 5 miles away.

There are others, but I am keeping them under wraps for the time being.
