So, this isn't the first time I've talked about museums here, but some new members have shown up since then. Figured I'd go ahead and revisit the subject. Which museums have you all been to? Personally, I've been to the following...

The American Museum of Natural History

Home to the largest collection of dinosaur fossils in the world.

The Smithsonian Museum of Natural History

Currently home to the Nat Geo exhibit on Spinosaurus and, eventually, Wankel Rex.

The Maryland Science Center

Home to a T.rex skeleton, Giganotosaurus skeleton, and life sized models of Acrocanthosaurus and Astrodon

The Carnegie Museum of Natural History

Home to the largest collection of Jurassic dinosaur fossils in the world and the T.rex holotype.

Of the 4, the Carnegie is still my favorite.

So, what museums have you been to? Pics would be appreciated :)

REX FAN 684 - Oh, how neat! I'd have to say that the museum I've most enjoyed visiting is the Paris Museum of Natural History! I absolutely adore the manner in which the facility is laid out - and the propriators are exceptionally kind! I do hope you enjoy the images I've presented! :)

Let's see...

I've only been to a travelling exhibit at the Cranbrook Science Center, the Field Museum (didn't see the dinosaur exhbit, but I might go back soon) and my local mueseum, which only really had a Tyrannosaurus skeleton.

REX FAN 684 - Hahaha! I thought you'd like that! It was a beautiful museum; though the section with all of the taxidermied animals was rather, um, creepy. Nevertheless, the Hall of Paleontology was ASTOUNDING! :)

I'm very sad to say, I've never actually seen a dinosaur fossil in real life. I live in the south of Austria and the closest thing to a dinosaur fossil you can find here are some teeth and if I remember correctly a partial shoulder blade of a wooly Mammoth and a random assortment of Mastodon parts. We're not too big on dinosaurs.

Keep in mind that many people have died for their beliefs; it's actually quite common. The real courage is in living and suffering for what you believe in. -Brom-

I've been to a single museum in my life, the Milan museum of natural history. Not a lot of dinosaur mounts I should say, but at least I got to see a nice T.rex mount :D

Wow, I'll be honest, I was expecting a lot more expierences. Guess I'm lucky(plus I live in an area surrounded by museums).

Actually Rex Fan, the museum where I work (The Museum of Ancient Life) is home to the biggest collection of dinosaur fossils. We beat out the American museum of Natural History a couple years back. Also, we have the only tovosaur mount in the world. We even have a "Stan vs Stan" exhibit.
