The Legacy of Raptor401: The Next Generation: Chapter 5

Tom and Levy walked into what appeared as a modern city. There were hovering cars.

“So… What do we do???...” asked Levy.

“Well, let us look at the facts. We have no money. All these people are normal humans. We mustn’t be so hasty in transforming into dino-formation. I think it’s safe to say that we got ourselves into this mess and we’re probably going to die as some homeless kids. Tom is dead and Katy is dead. Let’s face reality, I think we’re going to die unless someone tries to find us.” said Tom.

“OKAY, hold the phone. Let’s look at this an OPTIMISTIC way! First of all, we need to eat and drink. However, it’s night time. I say we sleep first and decide what to do next. I say we just sleep and figure out what to do in the morning. But before we go to sleep, I say we look at Thomas’s diary.” said Levy.

They got the diary and started to read the first page. It read this:

“Today was my first day on this job. So far Levine has decided to come with me.”

“Levine!? Wasn’t that the blonde guy whose picture we saw was on the grave?” asked Thomas.

“Yes.” said Levy.

They continued reading.

“We now have been assigned on a very important task to come up with some creature/device to create for this place that can be used in the current World War. So far we have started researching to see what we can do. I have a feeling this is going to take quite some time. They want us to create some creatures that are highly durable, tough, monstrous, strong and BIG. I mean BIG. Well, this is going to take quite some time. This is Thomas, may the day of tomorrow be better. I hope that Alex will be able to live on, and my family, get over my supposed death very quickly, I just want them to live a nice, long, and happy life.”

Tom turned to the next page.

“Today we are now going to officially start our first breeding. Levine came up with an absolutely GENIUS way to complete our task. He decided we would get dinosaurs. They fit the description of the creature we are looking for! They are big, strong, and monstrous! We have now already ordered DNA specimens. However, this might take quite some time, as I expected. If we were to just simply clone these things, it would be very easy. However, in order for this to work, we are going to have to make artificial hybrids of these creatures. Not also that, but these god damn bastards want us to add electrical attributes to these things. Man, this is going to take quite some time. They also said they want us to make them talk like humans! These people weren’t kidding when they said they want these things SMART. Not also that, but we have to make it so that they can also move their hands like humans! What the f*ck!? Man, I am kind of annoyed right now. Well, I hope that as of now Alex is doing well, as long with the rest of my whole family. But I am starting to wonder if what I am doing is you know… exactly right? I mean right as in morally speaking. I mean, is it right that I am basically creating life!? Well, is creating human life wrong> we humans have souls, animals do not. Well, this is Thomas, in and out.”

Tom and Levy closed the book.

“Let’s just read more tomorrow. Everything will be better in the morning.” said Levy.

“Pfft. I really think something bad is going to happen, to the both of us.” said Tom.

“And what do you mean by that statement?” asked Levy.

“I have a sense that this is not going to end well.” said Tom.

“Whatever, you always think something bad is going to happen. This is why me an Katy-,“ said Levy before he realized that he reminded Tom that his crush was dead.

Tom started crying and went to a corner of a building. He went into dinosaur form so no one would bother him.

Levy felt like a huge idiot for saying the name of their friend who was now just, well, just dead. No longer living, not part of this world.

He did nothing else he thought he could do, so he started crying too.
