Yuuzhan Vong In Star Wars Episodes 7-9?

So I've been reading a Star Wars book(The Unifying Force) and I feel the main villains, the Yuuzhan Vong, should be the primary villains in the new movies. These lethal warriors are from outside the Star Wars galaxy we all know and love. They use weapons and vehicles that are organic and grown. They also conquer planets through "world shapping." This process is a bit like the Terra-Forming seen in the recent Man of Steel movie. The Yuuzhan Vong War lasted many years. You can read more about it at Wookipedia...

Long story short, I think these guys would make for good villains. Not to mention they give us a break from the usual Sith Lord villain(although the Sith are classic).

Haven't read "The Unifying Force" yet, what do you think of it so far? Also, from what I see they seem like a very interesting villain. I agree that it would be unique and would be something a little different for the past SW movies. Maybe though, for traditions sake, they could have some sith lord in the background pulling the strings but not reveal him/her until the second or third movie.

It is very good.

It would change the story a bit, but yes adding a Sith Lord would allow the tradition to hold fast.

Yeah, I just feel like there should always be atleast somewhat of a sith presence in a SW movie, even if it is a hidden presence. I'm glad that they are referencing the EU for the new movies, because the books are a huge reason why the Star Wars community stayed so strong after the movies. I will have to check out that book though to learn more about the Yuuzhan Vong. I like what I see though.

Indeed. The Sith are mentioned numerous times through out the book. I think the Yuuzhan Vong would at least make better villains than Palpatine's clone. Personally, I find his clone just "cheesey." But that's just me.

Yeah, and clones limit character development since, well, they are clones haha. With a different army, we could see different character stories developed within the army because everbody will be their own person.

Exactly. I love the Clone troopers(my favorite characters actually), but in the case of Palpatine's clone, I don't like the concept very much. I suppose we will see what happens.

We sure will. I'm carefully optimistic for the future SW movies.

Same here. It'll either be very good or very bad. Here's hoping.

Sound like an Alien invasion Star Wars style, and in my opinion would be a good idea for the next films, or even a great spin off.
