Written by Paul M. Sammon, 'Future Noir: The making of Blade Runner' was a seven-year odyssey that would test the stamina and the imagination of writers, producers, special effects wizards, and the most innovative art directors and set designers in the industry. The book is an in-depth look at the ever-shifting interface between commerce and the art that is modern Hollywood. It has been described as an intense, intimate, anything-but-glamorous inside account of how the work of Science Fiction's most uncompromising author was transformed into a critical sensation, a commercial success, and a cult classic. The book is currently in its 25th year of publication Paul M. Sammon was 'on-set' from pre-production onwards and was given unprecedented access throughout the whole filming. He knows just about everything there is to know about BladeRunner. I think it's probably the best book about any film, period. Packed with nuggets and jewels of information! So yes, if you don't own a copy......buy it!!
