Now I know obviously some of this was due to the suits being used too much but still . . .By the time Godzilla appeared in Son Of Godzilla he looked like an out of shape elderly creature. That film ends with Godzilla protecting his son from a snow storm. The next two films are DAM and Godzilla's Revenge, one taking place in the future and the other in a boy's imagination so the next time the world sees him again is Smog Monster. All of a sudden Godzilla looks adolescent and is a complete friend to mankind and we never hear from Minya again. Now Godzilla was becoming more heroic but he was still an anti hero but in Hedorah he's full blown savior of mankind. We know that Minya was fond of humans as seen in SOG. What if Godzilla actually died at the end of SOG and Minya was the Godzilla we saw through the 70s?! In DAM, It could have been Minya and his own son. Of course I don't think this was actually Toho's plan but I thought it was an interesting connection.
