Welcome to the DeltaFights SemiFinals. I must say, I've always wanted to see how a Utahraptor vs Megaraptor fight will turn out, but before all that happens, lets meet our competitors. Oh I'm so exited! Megaraptor Length: 26 feet Height: 7.5 Hips, 9 head Weight: 1.8 tons Weapons: 15 inch hand claw Prey: Fish, Hadrosaurs, young sauropods Aggression: Small-Medium Intelligence: Medium Speed: 28 Mph Defeated: Afrovenator; no kill, Siamotyrannus; no kill Habitat: River, Forest, Grassland Behavior: Megaraptor was a very opportunistic and adaptable hunter. It isn't a Dromeaosaur, but it still had a thin-yet-long crest of feathers on its head, and long feathers sticking out of the sides of its tail. It could run fairly fast, hitting around 28 mph. It likes the water, and normally fishes. It has amazing reflexes, and uses its 15 inch claw to impail and kill fish that swim down shallow rivers. It can't swim, however, and doesn't go into water more than knee deep. It is common to find them in pairs, or even in small packs. It is surprisingly smart, and can create complex attack plans. Utahraptor Length: 25 feet Height: Hips 6, Head 8 Weight: 1700 lbs Weapons: Brain, 3 inch teeth, 5 inch hand claws, 12 inch toe claws, speed Aggression: Low Intelligence: Very High Speed: 25-30 Mph Defeated: Deltadromeus, Eocarcharia Prey: Iguanadonts its own size or smaller, sometimes scavenging Habitat: Forest Behavior: Utahraptor is mostly an ambush hunter, running at top speed for a short distance, and then jumping on its side. Then it uses its long claws to cut deep gouges in the flesh. It then jumps off very quickly and waits for its prey to die of bloodloss. In close combat though, it is a different story. Its a naturally cautious animal, and it surprisingly doesn't prefer to fight. This is most likely due to its large brain. It is not as primitive as some used to think, and it turns out that it has the brainpower of a wolf or lion, and also learns very quickly. When fighting, it will try to end it quickly by attacking the legs and belly. Its arm flexibility is rather good for a dinosaur, but is only average for a raptor. They live in packs of family, and nothing more. The parent, children, and maybe a sibling, but that isn't often. Its not the fasted raptor, peaking at barely 30 mph, but its thick legs gives it amazing endurance, and another one of its strategies is to run its prey to exhaustion. They rely heavily on sight and hearing for their attacks. They vocalize very often and it seems like they talk to each other. Their talk is hard to hear, and they are fairly camouflaged against light forest and drier land, but in spring, is given away by bright red head plumes. Fight!!! The Utahraptor is taking a drink from his river when he sees an unusual fish swimming down it. He doesn't realize that it is a freshwater shark, and sees no danger in it. He follows it downstream for a while, and keeps on following it as it leaves his forest. The river and the shark keep going into a grassland. The very grassland where the Megaraptor and Siamotyrannus live. The Megaraptor is currently fishing when he smells the Utahraptor coming, and he instantly goes into attack mode. He leaves the water, and gives a loud roar. The Utahraptor hears it and freezes solid. He didn't notice, but he had left his forest, and looking at where the roar came from, he realizes that he can see a Megaraptor in the distance. The Utahraptor roars, and runs at the Allosaur. He doesn't know just what set him off, but he wants to kill the Megaraptor. A similar feeling is going through the Megaraptor. The Utahraptor quickly gets close to the Megaraptor, and the instantly start to circle. Both have had a lot of fight experience lately. They may be young adults, but they are battle veterans. The Utahraptor has developed his own unique fight style to keep his opponent from finding a pattern, and the Megaraptor knows that his hand claws are the thing dinosaurs avoid, and mostly focus on, so he has developed a way to use that to his fighting advantage. The Utahraptor hips from foot to foot as the Megaraptor circles him. The Allosaur never drops his gaze, but and the Utahraptor always turns to face him. Then the Megaraptor attacks. He lunges at the Utahraptor and slashes at him with his killer hand claw. Fortunately for the Utahraptor, he backs up just in time to save his snout from being split open. He is however, temporarily off guard, and the Megaraptor uses his long neck and snout to bite the Utahraptor just above the neck. The large raptor roars in pain, and with a violent shudder, gets out of the Megaraptor's jaws before any real damage can be done to him. The Megaraptor roars and swings his claws at the Utahraptor again, but the smaller raptor hops back and avoids further injury. The Utahraptor lunges at the Megaraptor and rakes his long claws across the Allosaur's shoulder. The Megaraptor roars in pain and slashes at the Utahraptor, but the fast raptor is able to avoid the claws of doom while staying in close range. The Utahraptor once again lashes out with his long hand claws and cuts a deep groove in the Megaraptor's neck. Then he backs up, but this time not fast enough to avoid the flailing claws of the Megaraptor. The Utahraptor is hit repeatedly on the shoulder and chest, even getting his snout cut. The Utahraptor roars in pain and tries to flank the Megaraptor, but gets a long gash down his thigh for it. The Utahraptor then runs some distance away, rethinking his strategy. Utahraptor didn't expect the Megaraptor to follow, and as he slows down, the Megaraptor catches up to him and brings his long class down on the Utahraptor's side. The Dromeaosaur roars in extreme pain, but he manages to create some distance from him and the Megaraptor. He has suffered many deep cuts, and is bleeding pretty heavily. The Utahraptor turns around and runs at the Megaraptor, but at the last second veers to the side. The turns very quickly and the Utahraptor jumps onto the side of the Megaraptor. Now, the Utahraptor is in a good place to inflict major damage. He kicks his legs repeatedly, inflicting many large and deep wounds. The Megaraptor on the other hand, isn't in such a good position. He can barely stand with all the extra weight, and with his side being literally shredded, he is losing massive amounts of blood. The Megaraptor decides to do something desperate, and intentionally falls. He uses gravity to his advantage, and doesn't have to even push tolet him fall on the Utahraptor. The Utahraptor roars in pain as his legs are crushed under the Megaraptor's weight. His legs are in excruciating pain, but he has very strong leg muscles, and it able to push the Megaraptor off. The Allosaur painfully gets up, and goes to attack the Utahraptor. All he gets however is a kick in the chest, and a large killing claw rakes across his sternum. The Megaraptor roars in pain, and when the Utahraptor kicks out again, it knocks the Megaraptor down. Then the Utahraptor gets up, his legs are in extreme pain and he can barely stands, but he has enough strength left in him to walk over to the Megaraptor and put his foot on its neck. Before the Utahraptor can bring his killing claw down, he hears a loud roar, and then is hit from the side so hard that he is sent flying into the river nearby. The mother Siamotyrannus had slammed into the Utahraptor, and saved the life of the Megaraptor. The poor Dromeaosaur is tossed and turned in the river, but he finally hits a bank, and finds himself in a lush tropical jungle. Winner..... Utahraptor!!!! Utahraptor was faster, and had more weapons of destruction than the Megaraptor, even though it was bigger and stronger. The only thing that saved it was the Allosaur's strange pair, the Siamotyrannus.

Good fight. I was rooting for Mega personally, but it's nice to see him alive, seeing as to how he spared all his opponents.

Jack of all trades. Master of none

I don't really favor either, so my opinion on the winner is neutral. But it was well written.
