Like others I am curious where this sequel will pick up the storyline. Will it have any connection to the various RS movies.
I( for one would like to see more of the Yutani Weyland connection as it is no accident that they join forces.
Whartis the coinnection between Prometheus and Blade Runner,
There is more to thye story and I just hope it is revealed soon in some futre RS movie.

MemberNoobDec-19-2012 3:36 AMThere was some flirtation going on between Blade runner and Prometheus. If you look at the extra material on either the Fox Prometheus site or it may have been on a blu ray disk, but it connected Tyrell corp with Weyland. Its been a while since I looked at it so if someone remembers where those company investor sheets are, please help out here. I think I also read or saw a RS iinterview where it was touched on that there could be a connection between Weyland and Tyrell. Of course the difference between synthetics and replicants are that synthetics are built of synthetic materials - and for those who think they have human skin grafted on look at Ash when he burns, - and replicants, which are entirely a product of genetic engineering and so are organic. Or said a slightly different way, synthetics as produced by Weyland are inorganic and replicants produced by Tyrell are completely organic with genetically enhanced parts. Remember Chew, who said to Roy Batty, " You nexis 6. I make your eyes." So they assemble the replicants from genetically altered human parts.

Admin2KJan-02-2013 3:20 PM@nostromo001; De lauzirika (producer of prometheus blu ray) recently stated that the Blade Runner/Prometheus connection on the blu ray was an easter egg for the fans (notice it was more of an implied connection than an objective/literal connection...no name mentioned etc.). De lauzirika said that he, rather than Scott, came up with the aforementioned connection and that it shouldn't necessarily be considered canon (though ridley didnt object to said easter egg).
