They need to bring Bagan back, bagan was badass in Godzilla for super Nintendo.
yea use the Frostbite 2 engine, base the story line off a RPG action adventure, then if people desire the fighting taste the past games brought, bump in a monster face off mode in the main menu allowing players to use any of their favorites. Godzilla should be made like it was, the game could use a first-person, / third person option where Godzilla is just open world wreaking havoc, very much like Elder scrolls / and Fallout 3 game mechanics. Just open world ; destroying buildings, Monster encounters, cut scenes when Godzilla encounters a new threat, first-person view, third-person view options, using frostbite 2 tech, and bring back Bagan, and biolante.
That's my Definition of a Perfect Game for Marketing, these companies are just ruining these game titles that someone worked so hard to create

BUT.
1)Have a reputable company to handle everything...
2)Focus on making the physics and effects good..
3)Make sure that each monster is correctly detailed( Design,Powers,Moves)
4)Bring it to Next-Gen consoles.
5)Make the Boards/Levels a good enough size...

We need a game that shows just how massive he is. That's why I think we need a game where you control a human. I just think it would be so awesome to be walking around a field or a street in first person view and then have a giant foot stomp down right next to you and to be able to look straight up and see godzilla, as if you were standing next to a skyscraper.

MemberBaragonAug-30-2013 3:40 PMas a fan of the old school games i would love to see BAGAN back for a new godzilla game but as far as any idea of a new game i believe one of these companies will do the godzilla game like that of peter jacksons king kong where you play as a human then play as the monster but i could be wrong the fighting game style everyone is referring to is getting to be like mortal kombat except with giant monsters

I still play [i]Save the Earth[/i] on my PS2 for my Godzilla gaming fix. [i]Unleashed[/i] was a glitchy disaster on PS2 and the controls for the game on the Wii were outright terrible. I'd love to see what it would look like on the PS3 with traditional controls.

There are plenty of ideas out there, folks. Same with Bagan. We really need him in a movie before he gets into another video game.

MemberMothra LarvaeSep-17-2013 1:17 PMThere seems to be some hardcore wanting from the fans to see every conceivable Godzilla monster, but some monsters like Bagan and Krystalak have no cinematic reference points at ALL. I understand the Godzilla fan base has some diehard love for their kaiju (like the kind of love comic fans have for the Batman rogues gallery). They should focus more on the gameplay in terms of player perspective, building destruction, monster combat and level variety. An over the shoulder perspective would be great, with a target lock when you want to ONLY face the enemy kaiju. Destruction with the euphoria engine from the force unleashed would be pretty amazing too, with the buildings being made of break away particles instead of solid wireframe. Monster combat should be less gimmicky than in other Godzilla titles, with some visceral aggressive combat with counterable moves and finishing attacks. Level variety would be great too, like engaging horde/rampage mode levels with just the military vs you across an entire city. While I don’t have a monster wish list, I do have one for locations! Moscow, Rio, Berlin, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Cairo, Miami, DC, Bangkok, Bejing, World Childrens Land (Gigan), Okinawa, Easter Island, Planet X, Woodstock (save the earth music, technicolor filter and triply lsd induced skybox), Area 51 (mummified Gigan, fueling Mechagodzilla, crystal sprouting Spacegodzilla crash-site)

Fight other monsters such as King Ghidorah, Gigan, Mothra, Mechagodzilla (models 1-3), Anguirus, Rodan, etc. Have custom options such as skins from previous movies and upgrades. DLC campaigns and online Mulitiplayer. And, the most important part, a good story.

MemberMothra LarvaeJan-26-2014 9:36 PMNot goina lie there are some good ideas in this thread. Truth be told I have two ideas, although parts of this thread have inspired it.
1. A Godzilla game similar to the King Kong game that came out at the launch of the last console cycle. Not sure if you remember that game, but it involved most of the game playing a human lost on King Kong's island, which definitely made you feel small very fast, and periodically the perspective would shift to playing as Kong where you could wreck absolute face against people, T-Rexes, and other creatures. A Godzilla game along these lines where you're playing a person in the military that shifts to Godzilla on occasion would be awesome especially with the Frostbite 3 engine and the power of next gen graphics.
2. A Godzilla free-roaming game where you control the King in a 3rd person action adventure style game would be epic. I feel like they'd have to focus it somewhere, like Japan or the East/West coast of the US. You could have multile side missions such as taking out submarines or muto research labs. To maintain Godzilla's power you could have to periodically attack a nuclear plant or submarine to absorb radiation and level up. Main story missions could include having to hit a secret target in a city, intercepting other kaiju, rescuing Godzilla's son or Anguiras or other friendly monsters that you may have formed an alliance with from various threats. etc. Again, destruction engine in this could be amazing. It could also have a morality system like the Elder Scrolls or other games where how you act with Godzilla, say choosing to rescue a shipping vessel in trouble or sink it, attack the army or avoid conflict, could decide if the humans fight against you or with you.
Either way there's a lot of potential for a game if a creative enough studio took it over. Too bad WB and Legendary are splitting otherwise I'd want the team that made the Arkham games to make it. I'd be fine if it didn't come out this summer or even this year as long as they did a serious, good job with the game. Heck, I bet we never thought a Batman game would get game of the year but it's happened twice... I know they can do it with Godzilla.

I'd rather have a game with a rich, deep single player experience.
He is 350ft Tall people, those things on his neck ARE gills, and the Brazil photo is part of the final advertising design-- Deal with it.

Have a story mode in which certain times your the human focusing on surviving and then on certain times your Godzilla fighting other monsters, and add it all in one game. Also in the game include some the classic monsters but with a modern look. Also a fighting mode for godzilla as y'all have said and a survival mode for the human, in which you survive waves of mutos and occasionally godzilla. Sorry if grammar not right doing this on phone.
