I agree, Montesco, I saw many similarities too! Did you notice the cityspeak at the beginning, when he talks to the busdriver? Kinda reminds me of the short story called [url=http://www.huffingtonpost.com/hugh-howey/self-published-book-wool-movie_b_1540211.html]"Wool"[/url] that Ridley is interested in. Maybe Ridley will have his son direct both? @Albert; it was very beautiful indeed!

Yes Montesco, many similarities with BR. Stunning visuals! I believe Ridleys other son, Jake, directed Weylands TED talk viral. He has the awesome visualist gene too!!

@Svanya: Yes, Svanya, I've noticed that colloquial speech similar as the Gaff in BR, though I cannot understand it. @Lone; I'm with you, Lone, this shorth film is visually rich and artistic. I love TED talk viral, but Luke Scott has the habit of distorting the human faces on the screens, same he did on Prometheus virals, did you noticed it on the bus scene? I wonder what it meaning and what he were looking for there.

Loom is a superbly shot short film but did anybody notice the biotech error when the protagonist uses a micropipette to draw up the RNA-X and fails to use the disposable tips!!? That would get you kicked out of any biotech lab. The micropipette would become permanently contaminated with the RNA-X or anything else anyone used it for. This is why they should spend the extra money to hire real scientists as technical support.

Thanks for posting this ...I wouldn't have caught it for another 6 months if it weren't here. This was highly enjoyable & certainly Luke teamed with camera-ops aiming to impress. The scene from when Escha thumps & throttles the agents, right-up to her passing away was visually striking. I wonder if there was more filmed, or more to come. Definitely would be fun to see this short put in before a 3D feature in the cinema, maybe in place of the commercials (whenever these RED projectors are rolled-out to the front-lines). S:)

looks amazing! Too bad I couldn't understand what the hell was going on due to my hearing loss and because of the lack of Closed Captions. I know there is a CC logo on the video but it is broken since the CC program will only "hear" what is being said and type out broken sentences and many misspelled words. The only way to get it to work is whomever uploaded the video needs to type out what is being said throughout the short film, save it and THEN it will display what is actually being said. Yes it's a pain but that's how CC works in the real world since there is a career for people who type out CC and make very good money. Either way it looks amazing and beautiful.
