MemberNoobMay-10-2013 11:50 AMMy assumption about the origin of the monster is whether they come from the center of the earth, and some activities of humankind such as nuclear test or some big underground experiments may trigger them to wake up after thousands year of sleeping and land on human territories via the ocean. I just wonder how come the monster from sea like Otachi has wings. Ocean doesn't seem suitable to this kind of monster

MemberNoobMay-10-2013 1:32 PMThey are not from earth,the crack in the pacific is a portal to where they are from,another dimension. It states it in the trailer during Charlie hunnam's VoiceOver,Charlie day also says that they headed for the populated areas. So if I could throw in my two cents I would guess that they are sent here from a different planet through the portal, with the purpose of wiping out the populated areas and conquering the planet for whoever sent them. So basically it's a alien invasion, I'm sure we'll also get to see where they come from. But that's just my opinion, what does anyone else think?

AdminAtmanMay-10-2013 8:47 PMYeah, they come through a portal. How that portal gets there is still unknown and probably will be explained in the [b]Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero[/b] comic series which is due out June 5th.
