Monster place of origin

They are not from earth,the crack in the pacific is a portal to where they are from,another dimension. It states it in the trailer during Charlie hunnam's VoiceOver,Charlie day also says that they headed for the populated areas. So if I could throw in my two cents I would guess that they are sent here from a different planet through the portal, with the purpose of wiping out the populated areas and conquering the planet for whoever sent them. So basically it's a alien invasion, I'm sure we'll also get to see where they come from. But that's just my opinion, what does anyone else think?

Yeah, they come through a portal. How that portal gets there is still unknown and probably will be explained in the [b]Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero[/b] comic series which is due out June 5th.

I remember GdT saying in an interview that we'd catch a glimpse of the other dimension in the film, can't wait! I

i dont really know much about pacific rim so im just going guess they are beast's from another dimesion that got to earth by getting threw a portal at the bottom of the pacific ocean.
