I know. I feel the same, I would have liked them to say they planned to make more than one movie. However, all is not lost because we do get to look forward to more movies by Ridley and that is always a plus. :)

Svanya, thanks Freeze, I'm seeking the [b]truth[/b] about the marketing campaign behind (the Prometheus trilogy) what could be my most favourite film after Avatar (trilogy). :) Announce PROMETHEUS 2 already, like what's the f***ing problem ALREADY? Just announce it, then we can all get back to our normal slave jobs until this prequel-sequel#1 comes out. Come on! ...and relax...

The sequel, in my opinion plus gathering up snippets of dropped official comments is all but announced. Let's see what happens at the SDCC besides pre-viewing the Series 2 NECA figurine line.

I think prometheus 2 will be overkill, some things are better unanswered ..

... and some others SHOULD be answered! Imagine "the sixth sense" , but WITHOUT the ending where you see whats going on, that Bruce Willis has been shot. The whole mystery movie would be a barrel of crap... so we are HAPPY that they gave the CONCLUSION, arent we? it was mix of horror, thriller, so if the mystery is not uncovered in those movies, it's waste of money. but sci-fi often relates with real life and if it is trying to answer something which is not sure in real world. it ends up being a everything for everyone.

2 things here; 1; there was never any official word on a sequel or trilogy.....don't give me that "it was originally supposed to be two movies" crap. This was when it was originally supposed to be a full blown prequel. You might get some crappy straight to video movie but the total gross just doesn't justify it. After 6 weeks worldwide, this couldnt even double its overall budget.

Geez, did you see avengers gross. Almost a billion and a half world wide. Prometheus may not have doubled the budget yet, but Fox knows they'll make money off the franchise, just not the type of money that Avengers made, so maybe a lower budget :( and a cheaper director :( :(, hope not anyways.

A sequel will be made. That is a given!

just a little comment on "The 6th Sense"...and becaue I am a MAJOR...MAJOR Bruce Willis fan... In the theater and all excited within 3 minutes of it starting I completely guessed the entire story line of that film, and I still want the 2 hours of my life back, it was MAYBE the worst American Thriller I have ever seen. Knowing full well he was DEAD and would be the entire film 3 minutes into was just the Kicker for me, it was not a smart film AT ALL, in fact quite the opposite and it broke my heart 'cause I truly wanted it to be and it just wasn't. So YES, I can and in my case I actually DID watch that whole film already knowing how completely horrendous and terrible the ending of it was going to be without them NOT telling us everything, let alone after they did!!! If Prometheus was BAD, the 6th Sense was an affront to film making and maybe one of the worst American Films of all time IMHO.

and by the way that film right now as per 127 respondents is an 85% at Rotten Tomatoes which puts it ten points up at least on Prometheus which I find 100% REDICULOUS.

So, SDCC revealed A BIG FAT NOTHING about either 10.11.12 or Paradise (Lost)? Gheesh!
