MemberNoobSep-24-2012 6:47 PMHello,I'm also on the Prometheus site. This must be new.I like it.
I like to collect film props.Because its kind of an expensive hobby I don't purchase them too often. But,from time to time I treat myself to a movie prop to add to my film prop collection.
Blade Runner is one of my favorite films. Its also very hard to find original props and miniatures from this film.Riddley Scott doesn't want people copying his work,so most of the miniatures and sets from his films get destroyed.
These first pictures are the floor windows from the flying police Spinner car used in the movie. They were broken from a studio mishap(I'll explain later) and I purchased them from The Prop Store of London.
Riddley Scott was supposedly so adamant about the flying car having windows in the floor that he sent the Spinner back to a shop to have them installed.
This photo is when the Spinner windows first arrived at my place...right out of the box.

This is during another production after Blade Runner. They used the Spinner in another film and it fell off a flatbed truck by accident. They rebuilt the Spinner but all the broken equipment(and floor windows)went to The Prop Store of London.

These are brass panels from the huge filming miniature Tyrell building from Blade Runner. The building was only filmed from one side. These panels were used on the smaller angled building in front of the pyramid building.

MemberNoobNov-10-2012 8:12 PMJust thought I'd include this. Its my Spinner car collection(so far). The Blu-Ray 30th Anniversary Edition Spinner(silver)which is basically the same tooling as the 25th Anniversarry Edition Spinner(blue). The 30th Anniversary has some extra cool looking antenea.Far right is a Spinner key chain given to guests at the 25th Anniversary screening reception at The Bradbury Building.I bought it off a guest who attended the reception :)
