MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 9:53 PMWhat were Weyland's last words to David? I couldn't hear what he said. David wishes him bon voyage after that I think.

My interpretation was that it was because Weyland realized there was no Heaven, God.

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 9:57 PMWhen he says there's nothing, I think it means no white light. No God.
But then again, Weyland has been a naughty boy...

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 11:03 PMI didn't hear it properly during the movie, I only heard davids response I thought they were fair welling each other (weird for peter to do) but now, wow deep stuff I really like it.

MemberOvomorphJun-08-2012 11:12 PMThis was so peculiar.
I couldn't help wonder if there actually was a point of any real value or whether this wasn't just some false, assumed depth that Prometheus hoped to borrow in this way.
Anyhow, it's a very explicit reprise of something David says very early in the film, where he quotes from LOA.
Weyland is paraphrasing David with: "There is nothing".
David had earlier quoted [Feisal], with:
"There is nothing in the desert. No man needs nothing".
