1. Send in drones before people go in to explore.
2. All said drones are heavily armed.
3. Don't take oozing canisters back to the ship.
4. Don't open said oozing canisters on ship.
5. Don' take your helmet off.
6. Infected crew not allowed back on ship.
7. Infected crew are not invited to dinner table.
8. All androids come with spare heads.

You forgot two important rules:
a) don´t spy into suspicious, menacing, repelent eggs;
b) don´t try to make friendship with menacing lifeforms resembling cobras, worms, and even [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribble]lovely furry animals[/url].
