MemberOvomorphApr-05-2012 1:09 PMIMO I think they thought the message was from a race that would great them with open arms, but in reality they want to rule the humans as they did in the past.... For some reason disease, ice age, etc they died out on Earth, but now is their chance to rule us again......

MemberDeaconApr-05-2012 4:07 PMIts another one of those things that depends at what point in the movie that qoute is from, i know where it comes in the trailers but it depends when in the film it is.
As it could mean or be linked with a number of things.
Ridley did say that the Prometheus Crew set off to find the orgins or Mankind and saw the Star Charts as a invitation. But he then said that they find what they (maybe Shaw and her team) expect to be a advanced and civilised race doing anything but civilised things.
What that means who knows. i dont think we have seen much in the Trailers, just like the Orginal Alien Trailer never gave away much. This trailer seems to give away a fair bit but then must not really give much away.
As from the Trailers all we seem to get is that the crew find remains of Space Jockeys, find that Temple and Head and the Ampoules/Pods. We dont really see much in the trailers of the Space Jockeys doing harm.
What we seem to see is acidental infections or contamination from the Crew messing with the contents of those ampoules. We seem to see the Crew for some reason trying to restrain Shaw.
And so only see a hint of the Space Jockeys going bad, in the scene where it apears they are setting of to Earth with a Cargo that could wipe out Mankind?
But how it comes to that and why, well its not really answered in the Trailers.
