Absolutes

• No offensive language, images, or links. This includes content promoting hate, illegal activity, or piracy.
• Post topics in the correct board whenever possible.
• Use clear, descriptive titles for your topics.
• Use proper grammar and spelling—make your posts easy to read and understand.
• Respect all members and staff. Personal attacks, harassment, or public complaints about others are not tolerated.
• Do not post inflammatory, irrelevant, or off-topic messages intended to provoke or disrupt discussion.

Courtesies

• Do not spam links to your website or social media. Advertising is permitted only through approved affiliate partnerships.
• Always credit your sources when sharing news, images, or articles from other sites.
• Use the private messaging system responsibly. Spamming or harassing other members via PM will result in disciplinary action.
• Welcome new members. Whether new or veteran, we are all part of one science fiction community—treat each other with kindness and respect.

Standards of Conduct

• We take pride in maintaining a respectful, thoughtful environment that encourages passionate, mature discussion.
• All members are expected to engage in honest, civil, and intelligent conversation.
• Disagree with ideas, not people. Critique opinions respectfully—personal attacks will not be tolerated.
• Everyone who follows these rules has the right to express their opinions freely, regardless of belief, background, or identity.
• Stand up for one another. You don’t have to agree with every opinion, but always respect the right to express it respectfully.
• Immature behavior and personal insults only reflect poorly on the offender. Keep discussions constructive and on-topic.
• Posting opinions invites discussion and disagreement—that’s the point of a forum. Debate is welcome, hostility is not.
• Low-effort, hostile, or purely negative posts (e.g., “This movie sucks”) may be removed at staff discretion. Repeated offenses may result in suspension or banning.
• Threads or comments intended to insult others—including staff, cast, crew, or studios—will be deleted and may result in a ban.

After Being Banned

• Creating a new account after being banned will result in an IP ban, preventing all access to the network.
• Do not post on behalf of banned users. Respect staff decisions and uphold the community’s standards.

The Scified Team reserves the right to edit or remove any post, thread, or comment that violates these rules. Each user is responsible for their own content and any consequences resulting from it.
