Venoms most infamous and well known iteration is when the symbiote was bonded to suicidal, failed journalist and muscle junkie Eddie Brock. The towering, muscular, slithering anti-hero quickly became one of Spider-Mans most challenging enemies. But little known to the general audience is that the symbiote has since bonded with two other hosts. After the Venom symbiote left Eddie Brock (now known as Anti-Venom) it bonded with former Spider-Man enemy Mac Gargan AKA Scorpion. With Gargan, Venom was able to take complete control when in "Venom" persona, with Gargan living in fear of Venom when the symbiote was dormant. The other host, whom presently "wears" the Venom symbiote is Peter Parkers former high school adversary Flash Thompson. As "Agent Venom", Flash wears the symbiote for its augmentation and regenerative abilities as a Black Ops soldier in the employ of the US Government, with the symbiotes homocidal personality usually repressed.

The 3 Venoms left to right are Eddie Brock, Mac Gargan and Flash Thompson!

Speaking recently to CBR, director of Sony Pictures planned Venom movie Alex Kurtzman stated how unsure he is as to which rendition of the chracter will appear in the movie...

CBR: Where are you now on Venom? Have you got your story broken?

Kurtzman:Yeah, before last Friday came out, we started kind of roughing out a story. Ed Solomon’s going to be writing it very soon. I can’t tell you too much, but I’m really excited about it.

CBR: Did you have an easy choice as to which incarnation of Venom, which guy under the symbiote skin, you want to go with?

Kurtzman:I would not say it’s an easy choice. I would say that there are quite a few things about Venom that are interesting. Venom had several different iterations, and there are several things that are very unique, interesting and specific. And so I think we all want to make sure that we’re making the right choices for a character that’s so beloved.

With Venom being such a well liked character and Kurtzman obviously unsure as to which rendition of the character to adapt for the big screen, here is some obvious advice from us at Scified Heroes - DO ALL THREE - A Venom trilogy with each instalment showing each rendition of the character while also featuring other symbiotes such as Carnage, Toxin and Anti-Venom. What Venom fan wouldn't want to see that?

Honestly, after Spiderman 3, I can see them keeping well away from using Eddie Brock. Maybe going toward Flash Thompson? I mean if that's where they want to go in.
