Earlier last week Tom Hardy discussed a lengthy 30 - 40 minutes of deleted scenes which never made it into the film's final cut with YouTuber ComicsExplained. He makes it sound like some of the film's best and darkest parts were removed. You can check out the interview below (skip to about 4:35):
There are like 30 to 40 minutes worth of scenes that aren’t in this movie… all of them. Mad puppeteering scenes, dark comedy scenes. You know what I mean? They just never made it in.
However, since that interview went live, Hardy clarified his statements to IGN, seeming to backtrack and explain that the predominantly improvised scenes he referenced before added nothing major to the film's story, but were more so a personal enjoyment:
Everything that we want is in the story. Everything that I want is in the story. And more.
It's unknown if these deleted scenes will be included when Venom hits Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital Download.
