The Mad Max: Fury Road Car Gallery!

The Mad Max: Fury Road Car Gallery!

The Mad Max movies have always held a special place in the hearts of petrol heads. While fast and Furious may feature high tech, nitrous boosted super cars, the Mad Max movies have always favored the beefier, meatier V8 power-horses that growl and shake as though possessed by hell itself. We have some special images for such fans with ten of the cars from Mad Max Fury Road, including a little insight into the vehicles themselves courtesy of the guys over at Car and Driver. Grunting like Tim Allen in Home Improvement is compulsory while viewing these awesome behemoths...

Pursuit Special Interceptor

Based upon the classic 1974 Ford XB Falcon, Max's signature vehicle returns in all its rusted glory.

The War Rig

Six-wheel-drive Tatra semi with the rear half of a late-1940s Chevrolet sedan welded onto the back.

The Gigahorse

Two 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVilles welded atop one another on a raised axle, crazy!

The Big Foot

Rictus Erectus' monster truck uses the body of a 1940 Fargo pickup!

Plymouth Rock

What happens when you crossbreed a 1937 Plymouth sedan with a Porcupine!

Peacemaker

Bullet Farmers 1971–78 Chrysler Valiant Charger mounted onto a ripsaw light-tank chassis.

The Nux Car

This 1932 Ford five-window is driven by Nux, with Max tied to the front.

Buggy #9

An Australian CPM Perentti AKA a C3 Corvette body atop a Holden one-tonne truck chassis needed very little added craziness to suit the world of Fury Road!

FDK

Part Volkswagen Beetle, part flamethrower - fair enough!

Mack

This Mack R-series tractor-tanker, is similar to that seen in the Road Warrior, but in Fury Road it trails behind the convoy collecting any wayward scrap and wreckage!
