In the Star Wars Episode IV: A new Hope, released in 1977 we saw the X-Wings and Y-Wings take off from the rebel alliance base hidden within a Massassi Temple on the moon Yavin IV before they made towards the slowly approaching Death Star. The footage of the Rebel Alliances hangar were the iconic rebel fighters and bombers disembarked from was filmed at the historic Shed 2 hangar in Cardington, Bedfordshire, England in 1976, that has since be used by many movies including Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. It seems as though Godzilla director Gareth Edwards' addition to the Star Wars universe and the first Anthology movie, Rogue One, will return to the legendary sound stage to recreate the very same Rebel Alliance base, according to Star Wars 7 News. This coincides with footage from the teaser (pictured above) shown recently and exclusively at the Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim, which showed the Death Star as seen on the horizon from Yavin IV.
Caught on camera by Star Wars fan Trevor Monk, the following snapshots of Shed 2 show set construction currently underway...



...when compared to photographs below of the iconic sound stage taken back in 1976, it appears as though the recent set construction at the site is recreating the Rebel Alliance hangar from the 1977 classic – take note of the matching scaffolding one either side of the hangar door.
