If you're looking for a new space exploration game to ease the pain of No Man's Sky being a dud, then check out Everspace from developer Rockfish, which has just launched on Steam Early Access and GOG.
Like No Man's Sky, it also features a vast, procedurally generated universe, albeit with no planet landings, and will also soon implement VR. Visually, it looks utterly gorgeous, so you can look forward to admiring some beautiful scenery as you cruise through the cosmos.
