In a recent interview with Erik Hirshberg, the CEO of Activision Publishing, polygon.com posted an article on where they speak of "hope" for a PC version of Destiny.
Now, i for one am a fan of both Next Gen consoles and am currently split between which platoform deserves my well earned wonga. PS4 may well be getting some serious exclusives where as the Xbox One seem's to be getting a'lot of freedom when it comes to games DEVs taking full advantage of using the hardware microsoft provide, but, I will forever be a self proclaimed PC Gamer and never in all my life have i wanted a PC port of a game SO MUCH!
GTA5 was utterly immense in it's wide open world on the 360 and only now are we being told that there will definitely be a PC port, so I am holding out serious hope that Bungie manage to get this PC port idea on the shop floor. The possibilites will be endless, i can't begin to imagine how incredible Destiny will become on such powerful systems
Polygon reported that Hirshberg expressed that the early generation platforms cannot be ignored
"My hunch is most [players] have plans to upgrade when they can to one of the new platforms. But they haven't yet, so you can't ignore the install base that's still playing on the last gen,"
When it comes to being told that the PC port of Destiny would, obviously, work very well Hirshberg responded "It is [a good fit], and it's something we're talking about and looking at very carefully, and obviously it makes a lot of sense with the genre and the type of game it is,"
He continued, "Again, no announcements, but it's something that's a heavy point of discussion. And you asked how are we dealing with the complexity of developing for so many platforms, how about one more on top of that?" With adding lastly "You know, developing on PC is a different animal than developing for consoles and so we just want to make sure that we're putting one foot in front of the other and getting it right, and that it's of the highest possible quality. But obviously I see the same things about the natural fit."
My mouth is watering and will continue you to do so until...
