Actress Carrie Fisher known best for her portrayal of Princess Leia in Star Wars has suffered a serious heart attack and currently remains in intensive care.
According to initial reports, Fisher suffered a major heart attack on-board a United Airlines flight 15 minutes before she was scheduled to land in California.
Her brother, Todd Fisher told Variety that her condition has since stabilized but that Doctors have not updated them on whether or not her condition is improving or getting worse.
TMZ reported that it took paramedics 15 minutes to get a pulse upon rushing to her aid once the plane landed.
Fellow Star Wars co-stars have also voiced their shock and sympathies on social media. Mark Hamill wrote "As if 2016 couldn’t get any worse… sending all our love to @carrieffisher" and Peter Meyhu (Chewbacca) followed up by saying "Thoughts and prayers for our friend and everyone’s favorite princess right now.. @carrieffisher".
