Fans and critics are loving Mad Max: Fury Road. The eagerly awaited fourth instalment in director George Miller's post apocalyptic franchise may have tested the cast and crew to nigh-on breaking point, but the end result has been described as one of the best action movies ever made. It may have taken the Australian director 36 years, but it seems Miller has finally realised on film the world he has always envisioned. In a recent podcast interview with Jeff Goldsmith, Miller, talks at length about the movie, revealing a possible title for the movies sequel.
“We’ve got one screenplay and a novella. It happened because with the delays [on 'Fury Road'], and writing all the backstories, they just expanded,”
“Mad Max: The Wasteland.”
In the interview Miller also reveals that the well publicized 3500 storyboard images created for the movie, were drawn before the first screenplay was penned and were actually used to plot out the storyline of the movie. Miller also talks about the earlier movies, stating that the reason the first movie was shown within a post apocalyptic future was determined by cost, because it was cheaper to film derelict buidings and the desert without extras than the alternative.
