MemberNoobMay-21-2016 2:06 AM@Durp004 - The early drafts of Force Awakens were called Shadow of the Empire, so the title Echoes of the Dark Side could make a certain amount of sense if they needed a placeholder name again. FN-2187 didn't receive a new name until Poe gave him one.
The subtitle of one of Lucas's early scripts for Episode 4 was "The Adventures of Starkiller" for a while. Starkiller was kind of sort of just a placeholder name that somehow ended up being echoed in various projects. Then Starkiller somehow ended up as the actual name of the Order's new secret weapon in The Force Awakens.
The Dark Side is looking into it, but it seems like maybe all the best names were taken by the books. When Finn was given a name, it helped him gain a true sense of identity. Which was taken away from him after being snatched at birth by the Dark Side and given a number. The fact that he wasn't wearing his helmet is a concern to those in the Psy-tech division. "Kylo, if you could just start wearing it at all times, that would be great." The Psy-tech division thinks it would be great if Kylo never shows his face to her again.
There are a few things in the Echoes of the Dark Side leak that are true, but there are also many things that are false. "There's no such thing as miracle births, Kylo." "The Dark side has always stolen children from their parents, it's really no big deal." "Lord Vader was just a powerful potential force user." "She is not the chosen one, since the Sith don't believe those myths."
The people in charge of the psy-tech division don't want a repeat of the previous incidents. The strategy must change. The Dark Side understands General Leia's plan now. Resistance is futile. The Resistance must fall.

MemberInitiateMay-21-2016 5:58 AM@CarynParnall- I won't lie I'm a little confused from reading your post I'll try to address each point as they come
The early drafts of Force Awakens were called Shadow of the Empire, so the title Echoes of the Dark Side could make a certain amount of sense if they needed a placeholder name again.
-This is certainly a possibility both these titles could just be placeholders before they are given anything official.
FN-2187 didn't receive a new name until Poe gave him one.
- I'm not sure where this statement is going, tbh
The subtitle of one of Lucas's early scripts for Episode 4 was "The Adventures of Starkiller" for a while. Starkillerwas kind of sort of just a placeholder name that somehow ended up being echoed in various projects. - Well it was a placeholder because Luke's original name was going to be Anakin Starkiller, then it turned to Luke Starkiller, which was used as a subtitle in the next script, then eventually became the name we all know Luke Skywalker. The Starkiller name is just something creators lovingly put in as an easter egg for fans. Vader's apprentice in the Force Unleashed was also codenamed Starkiller
The Dark Side is looking into it, but it seems like maybe all the best names were taken by the books.
-Well since the old EU and most of the Star Wars library are now associated with Legends, and retconned I don't see much need to care about their titles since they didn't happen in Disney's universe. Funny that Shadows of the Empire was a game that came out for star Wars so funny little coincidence, or maybe you are correct and they don't want to use novel or comic titles for their movies, or characters.
When Finn was given a name, it helped him gain a true sense of identity. Which was taken away from him after being snatched at birth by the Dark Side and given a number. The fact that he wasn't wearing his helmet is a concern to those in the Psy-tech division.
-True, however once again, I'm not sure what the connotation of this is with Upcoming episode 8's title, forgive me if I'm misinterpreting something or strait missing your point.
"Kylo, if you could just start wearing it at all times, that would be great." The Psy-tech division thinks it would be great if Kylo never shows his face to her again.
- Is this quote from the novel, because while I haven't watching the movie since its bluray release I don't remember that quote, and psy-tech is mostly mentioned in the novel which I admittedly blazed through so I might have missed this.
There are a few things in the Echoes of the Dark Side leak that are true, but there are also many things that are false.
- This is where you lose me. I'm not sure how you'd know this. The leaked script basically goes through every character with huge spoilers so I won't post them all but as far as I know no one has either confirmed or denied them. I take them with a grain of salt of course and am not happy at all with some of the things it mentions so if some one from the cast does deny these could you please link it? I'd be happy to see that the script leak is false.
"There's no such thing as miracle births, Kylo." "The Dark side has always stolen children from their parents, it's really no big deal." "Lord Vader was just a powerful potential force user." "She is not the chosen one, since the Sith don't believe those myths."

- I really hope these are the parts you're pointing out as not true from the script.
