Many fans of Hannibal were upset after the show was cancelled before it could introduce modern audiences to Clarice Starling, the heroine of 1991 movie Silence of the Lambs, but supporters and fans can relish in the news that the shows award winning developer, writer and executive producer Bryan Fuller will soon be returning not only back to the small screen, but back to the franchise were he began his career.
Reportedly Fuller will team up with Alex Kurtzman as the series showrunner and co-creator for the planned Star Trek TV series which is set to air on CBS all access early next year. Fuller started his career as a writer in 1997 for Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Star Trek Voyager, the latter of which he also became a story editor and producer.
