The Tom Hardy led Venom movie by Sony rocked the box office last year and established Venom within his own cinematic universe, solidified the iconic Spider-Man anti-hero as a profitable franchise character and guaranteed a follow-up sequel which will introduce audiences to the notorious Symbiotic spawn Carnage. After the abomination which was Venom in Sony's Spider-Man 3 (portrayed by Topher Grace), it was a relief for us fans of the comic book character to see his embodiment realized more accurately on the big screen in the 2018 stand-alone film.
