Will Boba Fett appear in Solo: A Star Wars Story?

Shortly after Disney announced its plans to deliver a Star Wars movie every year, one of the movies proposed was a standalone movie that would feature the galaxy's coolest looking if slightly inept bounty hunter Boba Fett. This movie was to be directed by Chronicle director Josh Trank, but after the production woes and reshoots of his second movie Fant4stic were followed up by a disappointing release and critical bashing Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy was quick to cut ties with the director, an action which effectively saw Lucasfilm shelve the Boba Fett standalone movie. This action no doubt had a knock on effect which saw Tony Gilroy brought in to collaborate with director Gareth Edwards on the third act for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and the inevitable sacking of Solo: A Star Wars Story's original directors Phil Lord an Christopher Miller.

Before its release in theaters, pictures from a Lego presentation used a picture of Slave 1, Boba Fett's iconic spacecraft that first appeared in 1980's The Empire Strike Back (Star Wars: Episode V), were used to promote the companies coverage of Rogue One (see below). This fueled speculation that the ship and Boba Fett would at least cameo in the movie. They did not.

Now YouTube is alive with fresh speculation after claims that Slave 1 has been spotted in the "Crew" TV spot for the forthcoming Han Solo movie. Pictured below (courtesy of Den of Nerds) is a snapshot of what some YouTubers are claiming to be the Slave 1, which can be spotted at time-mark 0:40 in the TV spot included near the top of the article.

Set years before Star Wars (Episode IV: A New Hope) it is both feasible and possible that Boba Fett could appear in the Han Solo movie with some such as Collider speculating that maybe Boba Fett's appearance in the movie will be similar to Darth Vaders dynamic appearance towards the end of Rogue One, which we just had to include below because of its sheer and utter awesomeness.
