This week saw the New York Comic Con descend upon the big apple. Although the convention is not as popular as the San Diego event it does give game developers, comic book publishers and movie studios the chance to reveal any upcoming projects that may not have been ready to promote in the summer. One perfect example is Matt Reeves' second sequel to the surprise hit of 2011, Rise of the Planet of the Apes. War for the Planet of the Apes will be the third movie in the critically acclaimed reboot trilogy that has proved to be the exception to the rule that all reboots and remakes suck.
Although we have yet to see any actual footage the viral video above was revealed at the NYCC a couple of days ago and suggests that the movie will possibly be set during the winter, giving the apes a noticeable advantage over their human adversaries. The viral video also features the voice talent of British performance capture visionary Andy Serkis, who many fans feel should have at least been nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor for his role in 2014's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
