"Exciting news... we just officially signed Vivica A. Fox for Independence Day!"- Roland Emmerich
Here's the photo of Emmerich and Fox, which accompanied the announcement:
We can assume Vivica will once again play the role of Jasmine Dubrow, with Jessie Usher likely playing her and Will Smith's son from the first film. Vivica is the second star of the original ID4 movie to have been cast in Independence Day 2. The other returning actor is lead star Jeff Goldblum, who will also reprise his role as David Levinson in the ID4 sequel.
