The Venom movie teaser trailer certainly teased effectively - by not actually showing the Symbiote-bonded Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) Sony created a level of mystery and suspense regarding the alien antihero's proper unveiling. Fans everywhere seemed disappointed by the lack of actual Venom footage, but in a day and age where trailers give away much of a film's plot and selling features, it's refreshing in a sense to get a teaser trailer which maintains a level of secrecy.
What Venom will actually look like is obviously one of the make or break aspects this film has to get right, so it also makes sense that they would hold back on showcasing an unpolished VFX render of the film's primary character. Filming only recently wrapped up, so it will likely be some time before we get a clear view of Venom's new appearance.

It would not be surprising if Sony decided to keep Venom's complete look a secret until the film's release this October. Although as fans, we can only hope they tease a little bit more in the next trailer so we have a rough idea of what to expect.
