SciFi Japan just announced the incredible news that Japan's greatest hero is hitting theaters for a limited release this winter. The 50th Anniversary film Ultraman X: The Movie (known in Japan as Ultraman X - The Movie: Here He Comes! Our Ultraman!) will have limited screenings across the United States in California, Texas, Colorado, Kentucky, Virginia, Florida, New York and more! The film will also be double-billed with last year's Ultraman movie, Ultraman Ginga S: The Movie (2015). (Known in Japan as Ultraman Ginga S: Showdown! Ultra 10 Warriors!)
William Winkler Productions will be distributing and supplying the dubs for both films. There is no word on a home video release as of yet. Screenings for the films will begin on January 8th, 2017 and continue throughout the month. You can check out the new dub in the trailer below:
Both films are continuations of their respective series Ultraman X and Ultraman Ginga/Ginga S which are available to stream for free on Crunchyroll.
