Tyrannosaurus Rex
There are two versions of Tyrannosaurus Rex. The Isla Nublar variant reaches lengths of over forty five feet long, heights of almost twenty five feet, and weights of nearly ten tons. The Isla Sorna version is a bit smaller, peaking at forty two feet long, twenty feet tall, and nine tons in weight. The average size for the Nublar Tyrannosaurs is about nine tons in weight, while the average Sorna Tyrannosaurus is eight tons. All Tyrannosaurus however, are highly aggressive and fiercely territorial. Very few predators can represent a threat to a full grown Tyrannosaurus.
Spinosaurus
There is only one version of Spinosaurus. Spinosaurus is only found in the wild on Isla Sorna. Spinosaurus can reach lengths of almost sixty feet long and weigh almost eleven tons, but they usually peak at fifty five feet long and ten tons. Very few Spinosaurs have survived to adulthood, and the ones that have are extremely aggressive and almost as territorial as Tyrannosaurs. Spinosaurs tend to stick around the rivers of Isla Sorna, and they thrive on fish, crocodiles, and the occasional Parasaurolophus that sticks around too long.
Fight!
Thunder boomed as rain poured down. Visibility was limited, and a group of people was trying to get to their base. They had met at the bottom of a cliff, near the remains of an RV from 1997 during InGen's last attempt to save the island. The crew had decided to start heading back for the base during the storm because most creatures probably wouldn't attack while it's raining so hard.
The group reached the top of the cliff after almost an hour, and the leader knew his way around from the clearing. He looked at his compass, then pointed north and instructed everyone to follow him. They were walking for about five minutes when a roar got their attention. They turned to face it, and a large male Tyrannosaurus Rex was looking right at them. "Don't move, they only see movement." "That's bullshit, run!" The whole group ran back the way they were coming from, and they reached the clearing. The were about halfway through when the Tyrannosaurus got to the clearing. "It's coming! We're screwed, it's faster than us!" "Shut up and keep running!"
There was another roar, and in front of them, was a Spinosaurus. "Shit." The Tyrannosaurus slowed down, then started walking. The people ran out of the clearing, and the two super predators roared at each other. "What's that?" "It's a Spinosaurus. It looks to be about nine, nine and a half tons in weight." "What about the Tyrannosaurus?" "Seven, maybe eight tons." "Cool. So the Tyrannosaurus is screwed, let's get out of here." "No, I want to see this battle."
The Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus looked each other dead in the eye as they reared up. The Spinosaurus was taller, but it didn't stop the Tyrannosaurus from looking down at the Spinosaurus. Both flashed their teeth and started walking in circles. The Spinosaurus pushed the Tyrannosaurus with his arms. The Tyrannosaurus stepped back, went back to his regular posture, and roared. The roar was deafening, but the Spinosaurus just roared back. Both growled, as if they were giving each other a chance to back down. Neither did.
Both predators charged. They collided, and it looked like a stalemate. After almost a minute of pushing, the Tyrannosaurus started gaining ground. It was slow, but it was noticeable. The Tyrannosaurus gave a push, and the Spinosaurus stumbled back. The Tyrannosaurus charged, and the Spinosaurus turned to the side and leaned. The Tyrannosaurus went head first into his opponent's shoulder and started stumbling back. The Spinosaurus faced the Tyrannosaurus and took his turn to charge. The Tyrannosaurus ducked, and the Spinosaurus turned around when he went past. The Spinosaurus turned around, and the Tyrannosaurus was charging again.
The Spinosaurus sidestepped, and the Tyrannosaurus turned as he slowed down. The Spinosaurus stepped back, and the Tyrannosaurus saw it as fear. He flashed his teeth and growled, and the Spinosaurus roared as he charged. The Tyrannosaurus didn't expect the attack and he was knocked off his feet. The Spinosaurus walked over to step on his chest, but the Tyrannosaurus kicked him. The Spinosaurus stepped back, and the Tyrannosaurus rolled onto his belly. The Spinosaurus walked over and was about to step on his head, but the Tyrannosaurus saw it and lifted his head. The Spinosaurus didn't expect the Tyrannosaurus to be so quick, and he almost fell over.
The Spinosaurus regained his balance, and the Tyrannosaurus was standing again. They roared again, and then charged. They were shoulder to shoulder and the Tyrannosaurus was starting to gain ground when the Spinosaurus slashed his side. The Tyrannosaurus stepped back and roared. He was more surprised then hurt, but it ticked him off. The Spinosaurus roared, and the Tyrannosaurus roared back. The Spinosaurus charged, and the Tyrannosaurus sidestepped. The Spinosaurus was about to turn, but the Tyrannosaurus bit his neck and started pushing. The Spinosaurus struggled to free himself, but the Tyrannosaur's grip was too strong. He roared, and the Tyrannosaurus shoved him to the ground.
The Tyrannosaurus let go of the Spinosaur's neck to deliver the killing bite, but the Spinosaurus was fast. The second the Tyrannosaurus let go, the Spinosaurus kicked his chest. The Tyrannosaurus stumbled back and roared. The Spinosaurus broke several of his ribs, and he coughed up some blood. The Spinosaurus stood up and looked at the Tyrannosaurus for a minute. The Tyrannosaurus was focused on the puddle of bloodwhen he looked at the Spinosaurus. He roared in anger and walked toward the Spinosaurus.
The Spinosaurus hissed and waved his arms in the air. The Tyrannosaurus roared and picked up the pace. The Spinosaurus bit him, but his momentum kept him going, and the Tyrannosaurus started pushing the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus roared and slashed the Tyrannosaurus, but the Tyrannosaurus pushed him to the edge of the clearing. The Spinosaurus hit a tree and both stopped, and the Tyrannosaurus stepped back and roared at the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus roared as he stepped toward the Tyrannosaurus, but he had several broken ribs.
Both predators looked at each other. They were taking a good look at each other while they caught their breath, their broken ribs hurting a bit. The Tyrannosaurus saw the Spinosaurus was larger than him, and the Spinosaurus saw that the Tyrannosaurus was smaller than him, but just as tough, if not, tougher.
The Spinosaurus stepped forward, and the Tyrannosaurus watched. They were almost twenty yards apart, and the Spinosaurus sped up. The Tyrannosaurus ducked out of the way and lunged. The Spinosaurus turned as the Tyrannosaurus bit his neck, and he managed to slash the Tyrannosaur's ribs, doing more damage to his chest. The Tyrannosaurus stepped back, bleeding out his mouth. He looked at the Spinosaur's arms and decided he needed to take them out before launching a full out attack.
The Spinosaurus mock charged. The Tyrannosaurus knew the Spinosaurus was trying to make him do something stupid because the cliff was behind him. The Tyrannosaurus looked at it for a moment. It was a huge drop, and he decided to try and get the Spinosaurus off it. The Spinosaurus mock charged, and the Tyrannosaurus took a quick step back. Just as he expected, the Spinosaurus charged. The Tyrannosaurus sidestepped and went to bit his neck, but the Spinosaurus had hesitated for a moment. The Tyrannosaurus bit the air in front of the Spinosaurus, and the Spinosaurus went to slash his face. The Tyrannosaurus managed to catch his arm, and he quickly tore it off.
The Spinosaurus roared in pain and stepped back. The Tyrannosaurus stepped toward him and growled. The Spinosaurus hissed and prepared to swing with his remaining arm. The Tyrannosaurus charged, and the Spinosaurus slashed him. The Tyrannosaurus wasn't slowed down, and he headbutted the Spinosaur's chest. The Spinosaurus slashed him again, and the Tyrannosaurus stepped back. The Spinosaurus didn't have time to react as the Tyrannosaurus rushed forward and bit his neck. The Tyrannosaurus turned and shoved the Spinosaurus to the ground, and he was pushing toward the cliff side. The Spinosaurus managed to get some grip and slowed the Tyrannosaurus down enough to push him away.
The Tyrannosaurus stepped back and waited for the Spinosaurus to get up. The Spinosaurus didn't break eye contact with the Tyrannosaurus as he slowly stood up. He knew the Tyrannosaurus had a plan, and he was trying to figure it out before he was on his feet. The Spinosaurus stepped back as he got to his normal stance, and he felt the ground give out behind him. Some rocks and dirt slid down to the ground below, but the Spinosaurus kept some grip. He moved his foot forward to be completely on solid ground. The Tyrannosaurus mock charged, but the Spinosaurus knew it was a fake attack, as a real charge's momentum would keep him going, resulting in him getting killed.
The Tyrannosaurus slowly stepped closer to the Spinosaurus, ready to try for a quick shove over a charge. The Spinosaurus saw what the Tyrannosaurus wanted to do, and he charged. The Tyrannosaurus stood his ground, but his opponent's momentum forced him back. The Spinosaurus stopped shortly after hitting the Tyrannosaurus, and he roared. The Tyrannosaurus roared back. It was the Tyrannosaur's turn to have his back to the cliff.
The Spinosaurus flashed his teeth and growled, giving the Tyrannosaurus a chance to get away with his life. The Tyrannosaurus roared defiantly. If he was going to lose, he was going to go down fighting. All his life he's fought to the bitter end. This wouldn't be any different. At the same time though, there was one thought at the back of his mind that kept making him rethink this fight. The Spinosaurus stepped closer to the Tyrannosaurus. He was getting cocky. He had a weight advantage, he was in a better position, he had every reason to be cocky. Every reason but one. He got close to the Tyrannosaur, and when the moment was right, the Tyrannosaurus sidestepped and bit his larger opponent's neck. The Spinosaurus roared as he struggled to free himself. The Tyrannosaurus pushed the Spinosaurus towards the treeline.
The Tyrannosaurus let go when he shoved the Spinosaurus through several trees. The Spinosaurus roared in pain as he tried to stand up. He had hit the ground hard, and the Tyrannosaur's bite didn't help matters. The Tyrannosaurus was staring at him, thinking about what to do. The Spinosaurus didn't like the position he was in. He was here before, and he doesn't like being at the mercy of his opponent. He tried to stand quickly, but his missing arm and broken ribs slowed him down. He looked at the Tyrannosaurus, expecting him to do something. The Tyrannosaurus simply watched as the Spinosaurus stood up. He wasn't sure why, but the Tyrannosaurus seemed different.
The Spinosaurus wasted no time charging, which took the Tyrannosaurus by surprise. The Tyrannosaurus stumbled back, but quickly regained his balance. He had been lost in thought, but now he was focused again. He flashed his teeth and growled at the Spinosaurus. The Spinosaurus charged and started pushing the Tyrannosaurus. The Tyrannosaurus held his ground against his larger opponent, not moving as the Spinosaurus tried as hard as he could to move him.
Meanwhile, the group that was watching was talking amongst themselves. "Alright, we've seen enough. It's a hell of a battle, and it may never end. That Spinosaurus is larger, but that Tyrannosaurus is every bit as strong. I say we leave now, before they remember us." "Yeah sure, let's get out of here. The winner doesn't matter anyway. Our survival matters." "Exactly. Besides, the Spinosaurus has the Tyrannosaurus right where he wants him. He's biting his neck and shoving him towards the cliff." "I see that. Now let's get out of here. Which way is it?" "This wa-" "What's wrong." The group leader simply pointed in the direction he saw something. He saw two Tyrannosaurus chicks. The group quickly turned and ran the opposite direction, planning to circle around and get to their destination the long way.
The Spinosaurus held the Tyrannosaurus a few feet from the edge. The Tyrannosaurus saw the end was near, and he simply accepted the fact that it's over. He looked around, and he saw the chicks. He gave a mournful growl. The chicks heard it, and they turned to leave. The Spinosaurus was curious, and he turned to see where the Tyrannosaurus had been looking. He saw the chicks, and the Tyrannosaurus knew it. It gave a spark of motivation, and he managed to put some ground between him and the cliff. He continued to try fighting free as the Spinosaurus held on, and ripped several teeth right out of the gums. The Spinosaurus roared in pain, and the Tyrannosaurus looked at him. He looked at the chicks, and then he started backing off.
He felt his tail brush against a large tree, and he stopped. The Spinosaurus was looking at him. The Tyrannosaurus gave a long, deep growl. He was surrendering. He was leaving the battle ground with his offspring, but if the Spinosaurus followed, he would continue the fight. The Spinosaurus nodded. The Tyrannosaurus turned around and walked away, not losing sight of the Spinosaurus until the brush was too thick to see through. The Spinosaurus walked away in a different direction.
Winner.......... Spinosaurus
He was going to win via fatality, but the Tyrannosaur chicks simply caused a distraction that kept the Tyrannosaurus alive.
