The first trailer for Sony's Venom movie has been officially classified and given a runtime! Clocking in at 1 minute and 31 seconds, the Venom movie trailer has been given a PG rating:
Although the film itself is expected to be given an R-rated classification, the first trailer will be suitable for all audiences. It's possible we'll receive a red band R-rated version shortly after the initial debut. A release date has yet to be announced, but as new details concerning the Venom movie trailer arrive, we'll be sure to keep you posted!
The Venom movie also wrapped filming earlier than expected! Lead actor Tom Hardy shared a photo to his personal Instagram account last week confirming that filming had wrapped on Venom, after only 3 months! Originally, it was expected that Venom would film well past January and through March, 2018.
The fact that filming has wrapped so quickly bodes well for the Spider-Man spin-off and now the project can enter post-production where the film's visual effects can be added and polished ahead of its October 5th release date later this year!
Venom will act as a separate entity to Marvel's MCU and own Spider-Man Homecoming sequels, however the Peter Parker character will reportedly be mentioned in Venom. Additionally, the Venom movie will also introduce Carnage as the film's primary antagonist.
Thanks to Trailer-Track for the heads up!
