Terminator Genisys will be available on Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray 3D and DVD this November 10th, with the Digital HD version of the film available to download October 20th. As inicluded in the pictures for each format below, both the Blu-Ray and DVD formats of Terminator Genisys will also be available in steelbook editions.
Packs labelled Blu-Ray 3D also include a Blu-ray 3D presented in 1080p high definition with English Dolby Atmos* (Dolby TrueHD 7.1 compatible), French 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital, Portuguese 5.1 Dolby Digital and English Audio Description and English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles.
Packs labelled Digital HD include access to a Digital HD Version of the film that can be accessed through UltraViolet™, a way to collect, access and enjoy movies. With UltraViolet, consumers can add movies to their digital collection in the cloud, and then stream or download them—reliably and securely—to a variety of devices.
The special features found on all Blu-Ray packs include the following:
The DVD is presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs with English 5.1 Dolby Digital, French 5.1 Dolby Digital, Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital and English Audio Description and English, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles. The disc includes the feature film in standard definition.
Those that enjoyed or even loved Terminator Genisys will no doubt be eager to grab a pre-order of the movie in their preferred format. However, because of the limited special features on Blu-Ray and the aforementioned cheap looking "Endo Skull" we would suggest saving your cash and just buying either the DVD or standard Blu-Ray packs, and waiting for a special, limited, collectors or saga edition that will no doubt become available in the near future, especially considering that courtesy of the movies box office success in China, the planned Terminator Genisys trilogy and TV series look set to get the go ahead, with the next instalment planned for a May 19th, 2017 release.
