As our sites new banner announces, it is a mere 4 weeks until the release of director Matt Reeves' eagerly awaited sequel in 20th Century Fox's reboot of their epic Planet of the Apes franchise; Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Despite best being known for the almost universally panned Cloverfield, many Apes fans and general moviegoers have been courteous and forgiving of the director, with many high hopes for the forthcoming Apes sequel seemingly being met, if not surpassed by footage seen in the trailers and TV spots released thus far. Of course the director is also known for the critically acclaimed Let Me In.
