To accompany the release of Mad Max: Fury Road DC Enterainments Vertigo imprint wil be releasing not one, not even two, but three accompanying comics set before the events of the movie, each from a different characters point of view. The first comic Nux & Immortan Joe will be released May 20th, followed by Mad Max: Fury Road - Furiosa in June, and then July and August will see the release of the two part Mad Max: Fury Road - Mad Max. We expect the two part Mad Max finale will recap the events of, at the very least, the first movie but with Max sharing the likeness of Tom Hardy rather than the original star Mel Gibson.
On May 6th, before the release of the movie on Ma 15th, we will also see the release of the hardcover collection of artwork inspired by the movie entitled Mad Max: Fury Road - Inspired Artists, featuring the artwork of fans of the movie and artists including the likes of Dave McKean, Bill Sienkiewicz, Gilbert Hernandez. Director George Millers commentary on the art will be found throughout the book - a must have for hardcore fans and collectors.

From director George Miller, originator of the post-apocalyptic genre and mastermind behind the legendary “Mad Max” franchise, comes “Mad Max: Fury Road,” a return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
