Kaiju: Space Gyaos

In 1969's Gamera vs. Guiron, Space Gyaos was introduced. On a distant star, numerous Space Gyaos exist. These creatures wiped out almost almost every living being on this planet except for two of the women there. As seen early on, a Space Gyaos appears and attacks! But the remaining women have there own monster to fight back: Guiron, the blade headed kaiju! Gyaos fires his ray, but Guiron reflects it with his head, slicing off Gyaos' leg! Gyaos then flies away. But, in a scene cut from many tapes for various reasons, Gyaos retaliates! Flying in low, Gyaos prepares to attack, but Guiron is prepared! He slices off Gyaos' wing! When Gyaos finally falls to the ground, Guiron attacks viciously! He slices off Gyaos' head, then cuts the rest of him into many pieces! But eventually the two women and Guiron would die, leaving the star to the Gyaos species.

Numerous figures have been released based off of Spce Gyaos, including a HG Gashapon. Gamera vs. Guiron is available on DVD from Shout! Factory, uncut, with Gamera vs. Jiger. It is also avialble from Pop Flix on DVD with 5 other Gamera films, in either a regular case or a tin case, and on the OOP Alpha Video DVD, which does not contain the killing scene. It soon will be available on Blu-Ray with a few other Gamera films from Mill Creek. Gamera vs. Guiron was also riffed on by MST3K, and that version isavailable on DVD from Shout! Factory with a few other riffed Gamera films.
