In related Godzilla news, an expansion for last year's Godzilla The Game was announced, entitled Godzilla VS. Following the exciting Mad Max news, we have new updates on Roland Emmerich's highly anticipated Independence Day sequel! The cast for Independence Day 2 continues to grow as Emmerich announced the return of Brent Spiner, who played the role of Dr. Brackish Okun in the original film - yes, the same one who supposedly "died" when the captive Alien used his dead corpse to try and escape Area 51. Turns out, Okun was just put in a comatose state, he's totally fine! In addition to Spiner's return, Roland also revealed that young new actress Joey King will also be starring in the sequel, though her character role has yet to be revealed.
Jurassic World also saw a monumental number of updates over the past week and a half, with new promotional images, movie stills, promotional product photos (like this one, showing the Mosasaurus about to eat a Great White Shark underwater!), a new movie clip and even the early release of its mobile-exclusive park-builder style game!
The movie clip, which aired as part of MTV Movie Awards' promotion, showcased a dialogue between the film's characters Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard). The clip itself didn't feature any action or Dinosaur footage, but did show us Owen and Claire's dynamic. You can watch the clip here, if you haven't already!
In addition to the new clip, Entertainment Weekly featured a Jurassic World preview in their latest issue, a cameo showing Ian Malcolm's book was released and the official Jurassic Park and Jurassic World social channels released a number of new promotional images and movie stills to hype fans up for the film's June 12th release date!
