Filming is now underway on Disney's Han Solo spinoff movie. Chris Miller, who is directing the film alongside Phil Lord, confirmed this in the following tweet:

Star Wars fans will also be amused to see that the tweet included a jab at how George Lucas edited the 1997 rerelease of the original film to make it seem as though it was Greedo, and not Han, who shot first in the cantina shootout.
The currently untitled Han Solo spinoff stars Alden Ehrenreich as the titular roguish smuggler, alongside Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian and Woody Harrelson as the ruthless crime lord Garris Shrike, and Emilia Clarke in a currently unspecified role. With filming having commenced, we should be hearing more casting announcements within the next few weeks.
The film will grace our screens on 25 May 2018. In the meantime, we'll keep you updated here on Scified as more news comes to light.
