The first official film from Oats Studios, called Rakka, has been released!
The story is set in Texas in the near future, where reptilian- like aliens have invaded Earth and enslaved humanity. The humans have created a resistance movement and fight back, attempting to resist and hopefully end the brutal occupation.
Rakka features a diverse cast that includes the acting talents of Sigourney Weaver.
Oats Studios is an experimental filmmaking venture from director Neill Blomkamp which will begin streaming on Steam and YouTube within the next few months. Blomkamp has been posting about his project for the past year, sharing cryptic images and teasers on his Twitter account. The project is reminiscent of his Halo short films, feels like he's going back to his roots.
