Fan theories exist almost everywhere and for almost all movies released to date. Be it Marvel’s Avengers or the DC Universe or any other movie franchise, fans and fan theorists are always on the lookout for Easter Eggs and other clues. They then present more theories, predict sequels and reveal to the world whatever they think could/should happen. Here we are trying to conclude that there might be a connection between “Predator” and “Terminator” Universe. To get this done, we have tried to get to the bottom of both the movie characters and their origins. Let’s have a look at our findings.
Arnold Schwarzenegger possessed more than 70 percent of the badass movies during the 80s. He played some iconic roles in Conan, Total Recall and many other movies that you can also find on the internet. As a fan, I still watch them even today. He was the perfect individual with the perfect physique, could give life even to the most meaningless catchphrases. He is the big guy with big muscles, big guns and Hollywood loves Arnold for giving us these movies for years.
What if we tell you that there is a connection between the two famous movies of all times? Also, there is a secret connected to Arnold’s roles in these movies. What if Alan “Dutch” Schaefer was a candidate for creating the Terminator’s Model 101? You can feel the chill in your spine, right?
Predator was the movie released in the year 1987. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays the legendary role of Alan Dutch Schaefer who was a mercenary and a leader of a private military team. He gets recruited by the CIA on a mission to Val Verde jungle to retrieve some important intel. Whereas, when Dutch’s team lands in the Val Verde jungle, they find out there was another team that landed at the same location and got butchered by an unseen alien force. So they get an understanding that their purpose of being in Val Verde jungle was anything but to get intel.
Dutch Outsmarts the Yautja Hunter And Becomes A Candidate For The Terminator Program
If you are a Terminator or a Predator fan and haven’t seen the movies, then you might face problems understanding the connection between the two To watch these awesome movies, you can use Cable TV services by https://www.localcabledeals.com. Dutch already passed his military tests when he completed a mission that could have resulted in explosions across South America. He killed the Predator and then passed out on the helicopter. This is quite understandable. Messing up an extraterrestrial entity especially when it is a trained and dedicated hunter is no joke.
Looking at the accomplishment of Dutch at Val Verde, the government and the military finds the perfect candidate to be used as a template for creating an indestructible cyborg prototype. This can also be seen in the arcade game of Alien Vs. Predator. In the game, the main character is a cyborg named Major Dutch Shaefer. The character depicts a character that fits the description of the Terminator. This is the character of a human cyborg with a cybernetic arm having a smart gun mounted as a weapon. The game description was clear enough. It mentioned that the character was a cyborg created to combat Extraterrestrial Life forms.
This is a clear indication that Dutch’s success back in the days with the Jungle Predator made him the most suitable candidate for becoming the template for the Terminator project by Cyberdyne Systems.
Also, the government-run agency named Other World Lifeforms Taskforce (OWLF) has been investigating activities by Predators for years. OWLF was led by Peter J. Keyes who was a CIA agent and was acting under the cover of the DEA task force that investigated the ongoing drug war. Keyes and his team have been investing the Predator menace even before the incident of the Val Verde. They must have figured out something unusual about Predators and the kind of targets these guys pick up. This can be one possible reason that the government was not letting Dutch go after he came back Home. this explains pretty much why Dutch disappeared after his “treatment”. He is definitely revived as the cybernetic organism we know as the “Terminator”
One other thing that you might have noticed in the character description for Major Dutch Schaefer is a code that says “CDS-170A3. CDS stands for “Cyberdyne Systems. This is nothing based on assumptions. It is all connected.
Moving towards another sequel of the Terminator franchise that is Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. The sequel showed that Cyberdyne Systems worked for hand in hand with the government and the military to create the Terminator. In other expanded universes, it is suggested that these guys performed the search and even tests too to perfect this soldier program.
Technology and Its Evolution
If you look at things from the technological point of view, it evolved at a slow pace according to the timeline. It evolved from the bro androids like Cyber Dutch and the Terminators to the advanced machines called Synthetics. These included Ash and Boship that featured in Alien and Aliens.
Ash also mentioned being a part of the Hyperdyne System which sounds similar to Cyberdyne Systems. One of the reasons that Terminator and Aliens seemed too similar is that both the movies were written and directed by James Cameron. No wonder it blended too well.
If you remember the serial code mentioned above as the CDS 170A3, and the Hyperdyne Systems 120-A/2 or HDS 120A2. They have the same code format just like Dutch’s Cyborg serial code.
Apart from these, there can be a lot of other surprises that movie fans are not still aware of. And there is a very high chance that you can look for in the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate is going to get an initial release on October 25, 2019, in the United Kingdom and on November 1, 2019, in the USA. Terminator fans can look forward to seeing more action and more easter eggs that might lead to an upcoming Predator or Alien movie.
