Former Marvel artist, Co-founder of Image Comics and credited co-creator of Deadpool, the ever vocal Robert Liefeld has responded to the leaking, and subsequent release of the Deadpool movie test footage. Using the ever-popular social media platform Twitter, Liefeld, over the course of a number of tweets spoke out about the aleged misinformation being spread before eloborating on the movies progress. Below is a summary of what was tweeted...
"So much mis-information from the mis-informed in regards to Deadpool film. The version under review is a PG-13 version, not an R. The PG-13 rating now allows for truckloads of violence and edgy themes. An R rated version is not a consideration and hasn't been for years. You can always pad a DVD release with R cuts. No site is providing you with correct answers. The brilliant screenplay has been equally brilliantly modified."
2R is not a blockade any longer. It's totally understandable if you are feeling impatient upon seeing Deadpool footage. Imagine how the film makers have felt. Wolverine impales people with his claws on film ALL the time, withdraws with NO BLOOD with great favor & success. Difference between R/PG-13. somehow missed all the R rated blood dripping in the brilliant DP footage that leaked? Still a success yes????"
