With 2013's The Conjuring set in 1971 Rhode Island, this summers sequel set in London 1977 and a possible third instalment likely to be set in Amityville 1979 it looks as though director James Wan has firmly set his sights on creating a modern period horror franchise of his own, chronicling the "reportedly real" paranormal cases investigated by the world famous Ed and Lorraine Warren.
Due for release June 10th, The Conjuring 2, subtitled The Enfield Poltergeist sees the Warrens (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) travel the Atlantic to investigate the notoriously controversial case of poletrgeist activity at a council house in Enfield, London during the late 1970's.
